Piedmont closes regular season in fashion on Senior Night, gears up for postseason Piedmont couldn’t have picked a better time to be playing its best basketball of the season. The Wildcats put everything together Tuesday night against Shawnee on senior night at Collett Fieldhouse. It was a perfect finish to the regular season for head coach Ryan Wagner and his team. The Wildcats blasted Shawnee 72-52 as four different players scored in double figures. Piedmont, which will enter the Class 4A Area I, District 7 playoffs having won its last three games, closes the regular season at 9-11. “I can’t think of a better way for our seniors to go out,” Wagner said. “It was the most positive and enjoyable senior night that I’ve ever been apart of. “All of the seniors got to play and played really well. Each one of them contributed in some way.”See the rest of the story in the Feb. 18th edition of the Piedmont-Surrey Gazette.
